Account Password
What Your Account Is For
When you create a CS Department account, or if one was created for you, you will have an account that is allowed to be used on Lab Computers , VCPortal , Linux Servers and CS course related materials/assignments.
Your username and password will be the same for Windows services as well as the Linux services.
Changing Your Password Using Windows OS
You can change your password right within the Windows OS.

Access the menu

Click
Change a Password
- Enter the old password into the field asking for it, and enter the new password you wish to use
- Type the new password again into the last box to confirm it
- Click the right-facing next arrow

Reminder that your CS account starts with

Access our Accounts Webpage and enter your CS account username.

Troubleshooting
Invalid Password
This means that you are not meeting the required password complexity requirements. Below are the requirements for your password.
10 characters minimum and you need to meet three of the five requirements

Uppercase letters of European languages (A through Z, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters).

Lowercase letters of European languages (a through z, sharp-s, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters).

Base 10 digits (0 through 9).

Non-alphanumeric characters (special characters):

Any Unicode character that's categorized as an alphabetic character but isn't uppercase or lowercase. This group includes Unicode characters from Asian languages.
