Wireless CSNET Information
The CS Department's wireless network (WCSNET) uses WPA2 security. Information on configuration for Windows XP, Windows 7, Vista, and Mac OS X is available.

01/28/11 - The quota for Grad and Undergrad students has been updated. 15GB for Grad and PhD, and 10GB for Undergrad.
12/17/10 - New cluster available: hpcq.cs.odu.edu
12/14/10 - New SMP machine in place: smp.cs.odu.edu. Available for OpenMP, OpenMPI computing.
01/07/10 - Faculty Windows 7 upgrades are beginning.
01/06/10 - The Spong Hall switch/router has been upgraded.
01/06/10 - The Exchange spam/antivirus software has been upgraded to Forefront Protection 2010.
01/06/10 - E&CS will experience power outtages beginning at midnight for repairs to the power transfer system.

11/22/09 - The backbone switches have been upgraded and fiber capacity doubled between switches/buildings.
11/10/09 - Two more R900s have been added to VCLab, bringing it up to 64 cores and 256GB memory.

08/24/09 - Proxy card access is again availabe for the Problem Solving Lab.
